  • Single Vision lenses
Lenses made either for distance, reading or computer work.

  • Bifocal lenses
Lenses with a line; the top portion is dedicated to distance viewing and the bottom for reading.

  • Trifocal lenses
This lens contains 3 prescriptions: distance, intermediate and near. There are 2 lines on the lens.

  • Progressive Lenses
Known as no-line bifocals. These lenses have become the first choice for bifocal wearers. They contain an infinite range of prescriptions: distance, ranging gradually through intermediate, to near. With today’s digital technology, combined with careful, skillful fitting and fabrication, most patients have no problems adapting. Adaptation period usually takes a few days.

  • Polycarbonate, and Trivex lenses
These materials are light and safe. They are essentially shatter-proof. They are recommended for children for safety and for adults to make their lenses thinner and lighter.

  • Transitions lenses
These lenses have the ability to turn into sunglasses when outside. In addition to changing color, they are scratch-resistant, and filter out UV light.

  • Polarized lenses
These are the best lenses for sunglasses, in addition to the tint and UV filtering, they selectively block reflected glare. Sunny days on the water, or with snow and ice, are made comfortable with these lenses.

  • Anti reflective coating
Coating applied on the lens to reduce glare. This is very helpful all the time, but especially when driving at night and while working on a computer. Some early versions of A/R perform badly after a few months and unfortunately are still used. Today’s top quality A/R is bonded to the lens, is easy to clean, is scratch-resistant and works wonderfully.
